“What struck me most about this inn, nestled in Balerno, is its unexpected blend of village charm and accessibility to Edinburgh. It's a beautifully refurbished space, particularly the pub, which locals clearly cherish. I was also impressed by the straightforward transport options into the city centre and towards Murrayfield, not to mention that excellent pizza place next door.”

The noise was bothersome. Kitchen staff made a lot of noise until late. it was difficult when i was trying to get some rest. the lack of on-site parking was also a problem, it was inconvenient. the food and drinks seemed overpriced.

persistent noise soundproofing issue
The staff seemed nice enough when I bothered them for extra coffee, a basic human right.
My room faced the kitchen, I got serenaded by clanging pots and shouted orders until late. I tried to sleep, but the noise was as persistent as a toddler asking for sweets. The soundproofing clearly took a day off.
